"Meet the Professor" Mentoring Event at the 2027 APAHC Conference
Friday, May 14, 2027: 11:30am-1pm - during lunch
What is "Meet the Professor?"
This mentoring approach allows a small cohort of mentors to address the needs of a larger group of mentees on topics related to career development in academic medicine. Mentors and Mentees meet for a focused period of time with no expectation for ongoing mentoring or follow-up. Mentees may seek mentorship on specific aspects of their career or on particular components of a project.
Tables topics will include:
Teaching (Curriculum Development/Learner Evaluation, Assessment, and Feedback)
Wellness/Work-Life Integration/Time Management/Technology
Promotion, Tenure, and Advancement
Leadership Development
Educational Scholarship/Research
